KILIMANOOR BLOCK PANCHAYAT

The Kilimanoor Block Office, located in the north-eastern part of Thiruvananthapuram district, commenced operations in 1963. The Block Office is situated at Chenkikunnu, a locality in Kilimanoor, approximately 38 km north of Thiruvananthapuram on the State Highway and about 9 km north-east of Alamcode on the Alamcode–Kilimanoor State Highway.The Block Panchayat comprises 136 wards spread across eight Grama Panchayats: Karavaram, Nagaroor, Pulimath, Pazhayakunnummel, Kilimanoor, Madavoor, Pallikkal, and Navaikulam. The total geographical area of the Block Panchayat is 179.77 sq. km. The Block Panchayat office, situated at Chenkikunnu, provides a range of public services.To promote the welfare and development of Scheduled Castes, the office of the Scheduled Caste Development Officer functions here.
